An overview of the AWS architecture behind Local 197’s server-less online presence.
The goal of this architecture was to create a cheap to maintain website that can scale easily as members join the local. Currently the website is run by a DigitalOcean server, using docker for continuous deployment. The idea of continuous deployment has made it incredibly easy for a small team to deploy without much hassle, so in the transition to AWS a similar structure would need to be present. Finally, by moving to AWS the local will be able to separate concerns: client website, admin website, and api.
